The Wanderer Rail Pass allows unlimited travel in one direction with this six month pass.

The Wanderer Rail Pass also includes the following Value Adds for 2007/08

• Coach connections to Hervey Bay, Yeppoon and Whitsundays
• 50% discount to travel back to the point of origin in Queensland
• 50% discount travel on one outback journey in Queensland
• Bonus of one free outback journey on the Spirit of the Outback, The Westlander or The Inlander in Queensland
• Free same day connection from Citytrain services in Brisbane to long distance services

Listed rates for the The Wanderer Rail Pass are up to 10% cheaper than if purchased in Australia

Travel conditions

• The Wanderer Rail Pass is available for unlimited travel on QR Traveltrain east coast services in one direction only, either north or south, between locations endorsed on the ticket. (Travel on the Cairns Tilt Train is applicable however surcharges apply)
• Travel is not available on Brisbane Citytrain service
• Use of this pass must begin within six months of the date of issue and be completed within six months from the first validity date.
• This pass is available on mainline QR East Coast Rail and Integrated Coach services only.

Cancellations / Refunds

Unused passes receive a full refund, but once the pass has been validated (first leg travelled) or lost, no refund is issued

Booking Procedures

When issuing a pass, please provide the following

• Agent booking reference number
• Guest name/s
• Guest type. Eg. Adult
• Number of passes being issued for each guest
• Type of pass being issued. Eg. 1 x The Wanderer Rail Pass
• Pass number issued, for agents that hold Rail Australia pass stock or Voucher number issued, for approved voucher issuing agents, to exchange for the pass at the station. Note : The East Coast Discovery Pass stock will be used for The Wanderer Rail Pass
• Passes or vouchers must be issued and ticketed at the time of booking

Booking Confirmation

You will be provided with the following details on a pass confirmation

• Guest name/s
• Type of pass issued
• Agents booking reference number
• Pass numbers or voucher number that agent has issued
• Nett and gross fare that has been ticketed
• A FTR number that has been issued for the pass

Booking a sector in conjunction with a Rail Pass

When requesting a sector to be booked in conjunction with a Rail Pass please provide the following information

• The FTR that has been issued for the pass
• Guest name/s
• Date of travel
• Sector requested
• Level of service (please advise if guest wants to upgrade to sleeping berth)
• Agent booking reference number

General Information on booking Rail Passes and Sectors

If you hold pass stock, pass numbers must be advised at time of request

• Passes must be issued prior to booking sectors in conjunction with passes
• If requesting a sector in conjunction with a pass and the pass has not been issued please provide all details outlined in the Requesting a pass to be booked section of this document
• Sectors in conjunction with a Rail Pass will not be ticketed until the PNR / FTR for the actual pass booking has been advised
